Meet Dr. Yi Ma, who prefers to be addressed as Dr. Shinyi. She earned her medical degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from the prestigious Chengdu University of TCM in China, and a Ph.D. degree in Integrative Chinese & Western Medicine from Beijing University of TCM, recognized as the Top 1 TCM university globally. 

In addition to 11 years of full time medical education, Dr. Ma completed her residency in the department of internal medicine at Chengdu Hospital of Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine, and went on to do a postdoctoral fellowship at the renowned Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Ma’s contributions to medical literature include the publication of over twenty original articles on Traditional Chinese Medicine and biomedicine in peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Medicine, Blood, and Circulation Research. Accumulating over 30 years of experience in the medical field from clinic practice, teaching, and research, Dr. Ma possesses a deep understanding of human health.

Currently holding certifications from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), Dr. Ma is a licensed acupuncturist in North Carolina, Florida, and Ohio.

Specialized Expertise:

Drawing on extensive experience, Dr. Ma specializes in treating a diverse range of conditions, including pain disorders, gynecological issues (infertility, menstrual disorders, menopausal syndrome, PMS, etc.), post-stroke sequelae, facial palsy, depression, anxiety, stress, digestive system disorders, migraines, insomnia, TMJ, weight control, and various other health concerns. She has developed specialized TCM protocols for facial rejuvenation and acne treatment.

Gynecology Focus:

Gynecology holds a special place in Dr. Ma’s professional focus. She pursued advanced studies at the Fertility Center of Beijing University of TCM – Oriental Hospital and served as a gynecology professor at the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale. The process of bringing new life into the world is particularly rewarding for her, contributing to her profound sense of joy and fulfillment in this field.
